Terms & Conditions

Effective date: October 5, 2026

1. Who we are

HiEng is an online English learning platform operated by Individual Entrepreneur Kuzmina Irina Vasilievna, registered in the Kyrgyz Republic, registration number 004-2026-169-2773, tax identification number 11408196240005, registered at Isanov St., Bld. 1/11, Apt. 25, Pervomaisky district, Bishkek, 720017, Kyrgyz Republic ("we", "us", "HiEng").

These Terms are an agreement between you and us. By creating an account, making a purchase or using the platform, you accept them.

You can reach us at [email protected]. We answer within one business day.

2. Payments and merchant of record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

This means that when you buy access to HiEng or Speak minutes through Paddle, your contract for the purchase is with Paddle.com, and Paddle issues the invoice and processes any refund. These Terms govern your use of the HiEng platform itself.

The purchase itself is also governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms.

3. What you are buying

You are buying access to a software platform with pre-recorded learning content and automated practice tools.

Included

  • pre-recorded video lessons and structured learning materials
  • interactive exercises and drills
  • a vocabulary trainer with spaced repetition
  • AI-based speaking and writing practice inside lessons
  • automated pronunciation and writing feedback

Not included

  • live classes, webinars or scheduled sessions
  • homework reviewed by a human teacher
  • one-to-one tutoring, mentoring or coaching
  • exam preparation or certification of any kind

Access is granted for the period stated on the product page — for example six or twelve months — counted from the moment access is opened.

This is a one-time purchase. We do not enrol you in a subscription, we do not renew access automatically, and we do not charge you again without a separate decision on your part.

Speak minutes. Voice conversations with the AI conversation partner in Speak are not part of course access. They use Speak minutes, which students with active course access can buy separately as one-time packages. Conversation time is counted per second, including pauses and silence. The shortest conversation you can start is 3 minutes, so a remainder of less than 3 minutes can be used only together with new minutes. Purchased minutes do not expire. Refunds for them are described in the “Speak minutes” section of our Refund Policy. A new conversation can be temporarily unavailable when Speak’s daily capacity is used up (it resets at 00:00 UTC) or when all conversation places are taken; no minutes are deducted then.

AI features. Speak conversations, AI practice in lessons and automated feedback are generated by artificial intelligence models from third-party providers (see our Privacy Policy). The AI can mishear you, make mistakes in English or in its feedback, or say something inaccurate. These features are for language practice only and do not give medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. The level shown after a Speak conversation is only an approximate hint for your practice: it is not a test result or a certificate and has no legal or similarly significant effect on you.

Use the AI features only for practising English. Do not use them to request or create illegal, sexual, hateful, harassing or violent content, malicious code, or content meant to deceive or defraud anyone. Do not try to make the AI break its rules. Do not use other people’s voices, images or personal information without their consent, do not use the AI to impersonate a real person, and do not use the platform to find or publish private information about anyone. Do not share passwords, payment details or other sensitive information in conversations.

You are responsible for what you say and write to the AI, for having the right to share it, and for how you use its answers. Your own words remain yours, and you allow us to process them to run the practice and prepare your feedback. HiEng keeps all rights in the platform, its lessons and Speak itself. If a conversation or its feedback contains something that should not be there, or you believe it infringes your rights, write to [email protected] and we will look into it. We may limit or suspend access to Speak or other AI features if they are misused.

4. Your account and acceptable use

Access is personal. Do not share your login details, and do not use the materials commercially.

If we find that an account is being used by other people, we will ask you to change your password. If it happens again or the account is publicly shared or resold, we may suspend access and terminate this agreement. In that case we will refund the unused part of your access period.

Use the platform lawfully and only for your own learning. Do not use it for fraud or spam, do not infringe anyone’s intellectual property, and do not interfere with its security or operation, for example by uploading malicious code, probing for vulnerabilities or scraping content.

We may also suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if your payment is reversed or charged back, or if your account is used for fraud or puts the security of the platform at risk.

5. Results

Our materials, tools and automated feedback work only alongside regular practice on your side. We do not promise a specific level, score or outcome, because it depends on how much you study.

6. Intellectual property

All lessons, texts, audio, video, exercises and software on the platform belong to us or are used under licence. Buying access does not transfer any rights to you beyond personal use for the duration of your access.

You may not copy, record, redistribute, resell or publish our materials, in whole or in part.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the platform available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible.

If access is unavailable for a prolonged period through our fault, we extend your access period by the equivalent time.

8. Changes

We may improve, extend or reorganise the platform and its content. We will not reduce the scope of what you have already paid for.

If we change these Terms, the version that applies to your purchase is the one published at the moment you paid.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with the platform is limited to the amount you paid for access.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights in your country of residence.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of the Kyrgyz Republic.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection rules, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection granted to you by the mandatory rules of your country of residence.

Before any formal step, write to [email protected] — nearly everything is resolved that way.
